Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) March 23, 2004 --With his new CD White Magik", Legendary Vanilla Fudge lead vocalist, and keyboard artist Mark Stein has made his return to the music scene in style. The title of his new CD is White Magik".
The new CD which will be released March 30,2004, is a compilation of seven original compositions that include Prime Time Soldier", Shame On Humanity", The American Dream", and Lets Pray For Peace" which are being played on Army Forces radio stations. Also on the CD, the rhythm and blues standards Stand By Me" (Ben E. King) and Ive Been Loving You Too Long" (Otis Redding).
Supported by an A-list of players including Jimmy Haslip (Yellowjackets) on bass, Bobby Rondinelli (Black Sabbath/Rainbow) on drums, John McCurry (Billy Joel/Cindy Lauper) on guitar, and James Campagnola (Eric Clapton/Natalie Cole) on saxophone, Stein rips through seven new original songs and three exquisite cover songs.
Also being released in tandem, Vanilla Fudge Live The Real Deal" recorded in Chicago 1987 which Mark produced. It is the only live album available that contains ALL the original members of the band. Both CDs will be sold on Marks website: www.mark-stein.com.
Mark Stein, whose unmistakable voice has been entertaining listeners since 1967 when Atlantic Records released the self-titled debut album Vanilla Fudge. Though only 19 at the time, he led the rock quartet through five charted albums and a number 3 single that pushed even the Beatles to number 4, with You Keep Me Hangin On" written by Holland, Dozier, Holland. Marks work with Vanilla Fudge brought him critical acclaim.
Following his stint with Vanilla Fudge, Mark led the short-lived, but creatively powerful band, Boomerang, recording for RCA. Through the '70s and '80s Mark continued his songwriting efforts, joining with guitar great Tommy Bolin (Deep Purple) in the Tommy Bolin Band. Mark left just prior to Tommys unfortunate passing, and next accompanied Alice Cooper on his Welcome To My Nightmare" tour during its run in Australia and New Zealand. There followed, he toured and recorded with Dave Mason for four years, penning many tunes recorded by Mason during that time. In 1983,Vanilla Fudge was reformed, with Mark performing critically acclaimed vocals for the album Mystery" on Atlantic Records.
