San Diego dentist invited to chair session at international conference.

Local dentist Lawrence Addleson of the Art of Dentistry in San Diego and president-elect of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry will chair a session on cosmetic and implant dentistry in Venice for the World Congress of the International Federation of Esthetic Dentistry this May.

(PRWEB) March 24, 2004 -- As the incoming president of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), local dentist Lawrence Addleson of The Art of Dentistry will be hosting an all-day session on cosmetic and implant dentistry in Venice for the World Congress of the International Federation of Esthetic Dentistry. The congress is a gathering of cosmetic dentists from around the world, hosted by the International Federation of Esthetic Dentistry (IFED) which groups 20 esthetic-oriented dental academies from all over the world.

IFED was founded in 1994 by the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and the Japanese Academy of Esthetic Dentistry. Its purpose is to contribute to the progress and development of worldwide esthetic and oral health and to enhance communication between its member organizations, while establishing proper guidelines for member organizations to follow. The IFED holds a working scientific meeting every third year hosted by a member academy, with delegates attending from around the world.

Dr. Addleson has been practicing general dentistry with an emphasis on cosmetics in San Diego since he graduated from the USC School of Dentistry, and has been a leader in cosmetic dentistry and a mentor for other cosmetic dentists for over 15 years. Dr. Addleson is President-Elect of the AACD, an Accredited member and Fellow of the Academy and a Board Examiner for both Accreditation and Fellowship.
