San Francisco based artist John Kraft has recently launched a completely redesigned website, johnkraft.com, to showcase his vibrant and playful artwork.
John explains the basis of the new site, "I believe a key aspect of the creative process is the desire to share one's work with the widest possible audience. Through the production of giclee prints and the use of the internet, I hope to share my work with a larger audience over a wider geographic area."
John Kraft was born in Los Angeles in 1967. The son of a Marine Engineer and Child Developmental Psychologist, John was encouraged from an early age to explore and develop both his creative and analytical sides. This was evidenced with his parallel pursuits of painting and songwriting while also earning two degrees in engineering.
John's art is influenced by the works of Keith Haring, Picasso and Andy Warhol. John has had periods of independent study in both Europe and the Far-East. John's work has been described as both playful and uplifting and has been featured in local galleries as well as in the corporate offices of several San Francisco based ad agencies.
John's art can be seen in upcoming June 2004 issue of Dwell Magazine and John has also been selected to be an upcoming Featured Artist by Apple.
In 2003, John became fascinated with the process and promise of giclee print production, which has led John to release several of his most loved works as limited edition fine art prints.
John currently lives and works in San Francisco's North Beach District.
