MASS MMA - New York Times of Massachusetts Mixed Martial Arts

http://www.massmma.com (Framingham, MA) has recently unveiled two technological breakthroughs that will streamline the way New England's fighters, coaches and promoters gather news relevant to Massachusetts Mixed Martial Arts.

Framingham, MA (PRWEB) March 24, 2004 -- MASS MMA has recently unveiled two technological breakthroughs that will streamline the way New England's fighters; coaches and promoters gather news relevant to Massachusetts Mixed Martial Arts.

The first change is in the form of a new search index that includes over 100 websites of local schools, fighters, promoters and martial arts associations. "The goal here is to give the most up to date content for your local area. If you live in New England and search on 'Grappling Tournaments' most people don't want to pull up twenty listings that are in the Midwest. " said founder Marc Grabowski. MASS MMA's search spiders all "partner websites" every 24 hours insuring of the freshest content possible

The second major change is the addition of a content syndication model implemented this week that allows all local sites to put a news feed (in the form of a small chunk of code) on their own website which feed all breaking news headlines and updates from MASS MMA as soon as they are released. This increases MASS MMA's reach and builds legitimacy of the schools that utilize this data feed.

"The main challenge in Massachusetts is that there are so many people who would like to attend an MMA event, but the scene has always been so fragmented that until now, you never knew where to check for schedules and trustworthy information. The challenge for the fighters was making a name for themselves. This is due to the infrequency of fights and lack of available information between events. Now, everybody in Massachusetts and New England knows when events are being held. The interviews give readers a more intimate look into the fighter's experience, training methods and fight history. (Mario Ramos, Dragons Lair owner and Vale Tudo Coach)."

This relatively new site has caught on like wildfire boasting traffic of over 15,000 hits per day after only two months in existence. This level of success has been attributed to a talented and motivated professional writing staff who are not merely writers but local athletes as well.

If you would like your school to be added to the Featured Listing section, or you would like to add the MASS MMA news feed to your site, please contact editor@massmma.com.
