WBMBs Manager, Jenny Fernandez, said in a recent interview, I am so proud of the accomplishments the WBMB team has made toward developing diversified programming, rebuilding the outdated facilities and attracting well-known and up and coming artists to Baruch. In the last year, WBMB has formed strong relationships with top record labels, as well as media professionals, who have educated our students and provided opportunities for them to embark on careers in music and broadcasting. I strongly believe in the value of music and self expression and the launch of WBMB marks a new era of college radio at Baruch."

According to the U.S. News and World Report, Baruch College is the most diverse college in the U.S. Baruchs students and their immediate families represent more than 140 nations of origin and more than 90 native languages. Baruch College is ranked No. 2 among the citys undergraduate business programs and No. 5 in New York State. Baruchs undergraduate business program ranks 64th in the nation, while its part time MBA program ranks in the top 20.

Chubby Checker, the original master of the dance hall beat and one of the few entertainers who has remained on the Billboard charts for forty-five years and counting, will perform at the event.
