Tabatha Jean DAgata, author of Marvin Monsters Big Date, will be presenting a workshop, Finding the Niche: Ways to Jump Start Your Book Marketing," at the Society of Childrens Book Writers and Illustrators New England Annual Conference on April 3rd at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Nashua.
DAgata, a resident of Hookset, has published many books for children, both in print and online. Marvin Monsters Big Date, recently published by Moo Press, Inc., is the first book in a series that teaches important social skills. This Early Reader Chapter Book, for ages 6 -- 9, is certain to delight children as they giggle and gasp their way through Marvins attempt to make a new friend and discover the gruesomely charming details of his monsterific world, complete with Slug Slime, toad-warts, and Nurse Hagildas skunk juice. And, like Marvin, they will learn the importance of keeping a promise.
T. Chandler, 3rd grade teacher for twenty-three years from Texas, says DAgatas chapter book for elementary readers uses spellbinding characters and witty phrasing to smoothly move the reader through her work."
DAgata is a proud member of SCBWI and in addition to her own writing, she is the owner of the Internet magazine www.thesavvyclick.com, a literary and entertainment magazine. She currently lives with her husband and two children in Hookset, NH.
