Mrs. Pennsylvania America Hopeful in Movie releasing in April

Michele Paiva, A participant in the Mrs. Pennsylvania America Pageant, is an actress in the movie "Injustice" to be released this month, in Philadelphia, PA

(PRWEB) March 30, 2004 --Michele Paiva actually didn't find her acting role very hard in the movie, "Injustice" in which she was cast almost two years ago.

You see, Paiva was cast as a news reporter. Her actual career before being cast...well, was a news reporter and anchor! She stated that she did find acting harder than reporting though. "What you do and say as an actress pretending to be the role of a reporter, is very different than what a reporter actually does. For instance, I wanted to change the way the scripting was, because I knew a "real" reporter would never say some of those things. I had to forget I was a reporter in my heart, and just act the way the director wanted me to!" said Paiva.

She did state that the director and entire crew were very helpful to her. That they were all very kind considering her lack of acting skills (she never acted before)

All of this is very exciting to her, because the screening of the movie in Philadelphia, is just a couple of weeks before another milestone in her life... participating in the Mrs. Pennsylvania-America pageant.
"Competing in this pageant is a dream come true. My director has been wonderful. In the past, there was a time where I was going to compete, but there was a misunderstanding. However, my director was fair, open and looking for resolution, not disruption...and here I am, participating in this wonderful pageant."

Paiva states that participation in the Mrs. America pageant has been nothing but positive for her. She's been able to reach goals, meet many new people, and experience new situations that the pageant affiliation has lended to her.

The Mrs. America pageant has a goal of celebrating the modern married woman...and we think that Michele Paiva fits that mold. A wife and mother, therapist, author, columnist, news reporter, and...representative of the Keystone State...the state that her movie was filmed in!

Michele Paiva is available for Interview, Speaking Engagements, Promotions and Autograph Signings.

Shot by 23-year-old filmmaker Alexander Ballas, this intense melodrama focuses on Frank Miller (portrayed by Philadelphia native Mike Tyler), one tough Philly cop. Nominated for Commissioner of Police, Frank discovers that terrible forces are marshalling against him, but, unfortunately, he discovers this fact much too late. After three men leave Frank for dead, he embarks on a desperate search across our sin-soaked city...for revenge. But Franks road to vengeance leads him to a mysterious fourth man who is remaining in the shadows. Hunted and alone, Frank finds that his only ally may be on the other side of the grave -- but that ally may very well be his only hope. This film was (remarkably) made in less than two weeks, entirely through volunteer support from cast and crew. Yet its dark, gritty feel contains absolutely no evidence of production shortcomings. The director credits his cast and crew who worked tirelessly, constantly" in completing this very effective tale of love, hate and human redemption. --Scott Johnston *Philadelphia Film
