The nation’s most successful underground sensation is a book entitled “The Index: A Road Map”. The book is the first reality TV concept, in the form of a book. The unedited version of the book was released in October 2003 for Internet and retail sales. The buyers of the unedited version were asked to provide further insight and feedback for the book and to make notes about decisions and changes the authors of the book should make. The final edited version of the reality book, originally scheduled for the release date of April 2004, has been postponed for the release date of September 2004. The creators and authors of the book, Kevin Finn and Preska Thomas, made the decision to delay the release date of their reality-reading book to continue their involvement in the worldwide cultural phenomena of the unedited version. Kevin Finn states, “ People from all over the world, all ages, all backgrounds and all walks of life has contributed great success to our reality book concept.” It’s an amazing experience to read current events through the eyes of real and ordinary people from around the globe; particularly, their views and personal thoughts about America”. The authors receive love and hate emails from individuals and organizations sharing their views to be included in the final edited version of the book. Terrorist organizations and special interest groups are documented to have threatened the lives of the authors with the most disruptive and hated words to express their feelings against them and the American homeland. In March 5, 2004, the Website for the book,, was shut down completely to deter the spamming activities of a terrorist organization against the authors and their book.

There are those opposed to the concept of reality reading. Co- author Preska Thomas quotes, the reality reading concept for “The Index: A Road Map”, is an educational and cultural experience that has encouraged individual readers to define his or her American dream within the American road map. “It gives me great pleasure to reflect upon the writings of the children and young adults from elementary schools, high schools and colleges that involved themselves in our reality-reading concept. They were proactive, knowledgeable and understanding of the current events now shaping our country.”

The mainstream media has also taken notice of the reality reading concept for the “Index: A Road Map”. The creators of the book are currently in discussions with book publishers for releasing the edited version of the book while a television network proposes to develop a reality television show concept of the book. The negotiations for the book publishing rights alone range from advance offers of $2 - $3 million dollars. A selected number of sponsors and advertisers have also taken interest in Team Hollywood’s Summer 2004 “American Road Map Tour”. The reality book experience will come alive through the tour for book signings and special speaking engagements at elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, colleges, and book chains across the country. The tour will be filmed as a documentary and will be edited to feature the true to life experiences of real people, their opinions, and the description of their path roads within the American road map.

In correlation with the tour, a selected number of participants submitting feedback to, will be contacted for also giving interviews about their American road maps for potentially being featured within the film documentary of the “American Road Map Tour” and/or also for being included in the quarterly “Programazine” to be distributed exclusively to Team Hollywood’s fan club members and at special appearances..
