The London 48 Hour Film Project Announces Dates
2004 dates for London version of the world's most successful time-limited film event.
LONDON (PRWEB) March 31, 2004 -- The 48 Hour Film Project, the worlds most successful 48 Hour film competition arrives in London for the first time the weekend of May 15/16 2004.
Teams will compete to make an entirely original 5 minute film in only a single weekend, constrained by a number of rules and in a style only issued at the beginning of the weekend. The results will screen at The Other Cinema in Rupert St London from June 5, climaxing with the Jury and Public Vote prizes being awarded the evening of June 10.
The Project Jury is made up of a number of professionals from the worlds of film and television production and members of the film media. The winner of the Jury Prize will travel to the US in early 2005 to represent London in the international event.
In 2003 over 1,000 films were made in 11 city competitions in the US and Australasia, with the Best Of" being held recently at the SXSW film festival in Austin Texas.
The London event will be the first in this competition in Europe, with events planned for Copenhagen, Dublin and Berlin later in the year.
