(PRWEB) March 31, 2004 -- WallCandy Arts Launches WallCandy, a Collection of Designs for Instant Wall Décor
WallCandy Arts, the Manhattan-based company founded by Allison Krongard in 2001, celebrates the introduction of its initial series of extraordinary designs for the wall. Created as a way of achieving instant design-savvy décor for all areas of the house, WallCandy consists of printed peel-and-stick panels with patterns by renowned talents from the worlds of design, theater and fashion, -at do-it-yourself prices.
WallCandy packages contain several panels printed with UV ink that is durable and cleanable (as simple as a swipe with a damp sponge) and backed with a removable static adhesive. Application is simple: a three-step process of peel, place, and smooth; then, as desired, the panels can be lifted off the wall without leaving a trace! WallCandy provides a commitment-free solution for transforming such spaces as kitchens, childrens rooms, and bathrooms into exciting, fun environments: the panels bring an infusion of style to any room, without risk or mess.
This first introduction from WallCandy Arts encompasses two patterns licensed from Marimekko, the 20th-century design icon, and original, commissioned art for a farm-scene mural and borders for childrens rooms. The Marimekko patterns include the classic BoBoo Cars, which are die-cut for individual application, and the world-famous Unikko pattern of poppies. The original art for Grazeland, the barnyard mural is composed of nine panels that make up the yard, plus a myriad of dye-cut trees, farm animals, a tractor and a big red barn that can be arranged and rearranged at will and whim; coordinating borders in blues and pinks are packaged separately. Comprehensive patterns and individual elements are well proportioned and scaled to work with each other, and to suit the dimensions of any room. Additional designs include the Space Crafts space mural and Lunar Lift-Offs, a four-foot rocket accessory kit, both with glow in the dark stars. More creative scenes such as Alphablox, a compilation of letters and numbers printed in several color ways will be available 2004.
