Nesbit Systems Inc., developer of the premier media asset archive & tracking system, announces new branding and marketing program for its Media Library System

Nesbit Systems Inc., developer of the premier media asset archive & tracking system, announces new branding and marketing program for its Media Library System. The new marketing campaign will highlight customer testimonials from top media broadcasters and corporate marketing executives within a comprehensive media and direct marketing program.

PRINCETON, NJ (PRWEB) March 31, 2004 -- Nesbit Systems Inc. (NSi) has selected DeBow Communications, one of Americas oldest independent marketing communications firm, to assist in the strategic repositioning of its product line and to launch a comprehensive media and direct marketing campaign to highlight the tremendous customer benefits of its NSi Media Library System product line.

Since 1988, when the NSi Media Library System was implemented with NBC for the management of media assets during the Summer Olympic games in Seoul, South Korea, the company has become the leading provide of media asset archive and tracking systems, with most of the top global media companies using its system around the world.

For nearly 25 years, Nesbit Systems has been providing media companies with a proven, cost-effective solution for the management of media assets. And, over the years, we have continued to expand the features and functionality of the MLS product to meet the growing demands of media-intensive businesses, including secure Internet access for anywhere/anytime availability of media asset data for producers on the road," says Irene Nesbit, president, NSi.

This is an especially auspicious time in the history of the company as media assets are not only in demand by cable and broadcast network producers-who need to respond to the demands placed by 24/7 programming and the Internet-but also corporate marketing public relations specialists who are producing industrials, electronic press kits, corporate B-roll, etc., Nesbit adds. As we look to increase our penetration with our traditional client base, and develop new business in key industries, we will capitalize on the expertise of DeBow to assist in identifying new market opportunities and to create marketing messages that resonate with our current and potential customers."

The new advertising and media campaign will focus on the tremendous savings -- in time and money -- combined with ease of installation and implementation of the NSi Media Library System.

The anchor of the new campaign is:
Finding a star in a distant galaxy should be hard. Finding your Video Footage in Your Library should be Easy."

Supporting the campaign will be White Papers, Customer Testimonials, Industry Position Papers, and Customer-driven Fact and Tip Sheets that discuss the system, the market, the problem, and the solution.

For example, noted Communications Arts professor and History Channel contributor, Dr. Alister Sanderson, provides a compelling customer story for the NSi MSL web interface product: Each week I make on-air promotional spots for The History Channel. That means I have to write scripts, direct a voice-over announcer, and supervise an edit session. I can do none of this without screening the shows Ive been asked to promote -- and I cant do that unless I locate the shows and other video sources I need and have them sent to the librarians to make screening copies," explained Dr. Sanderson. I locate the material through the MLS web interface. It is fast, powerful and incredibly easy to use."

In particular, for Dr. Sanderson, a professor of Communication Arts at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, the search and sort functions provide him and the librarians he relies on at The History Channel with to efficient and effective access to the media assets needed. Take the keyword search, for instance. I enter the word and almost instantaneously the system call up what Im looking for among the tens of thousands of show and element reels in the A&E and History Channel libraries. The interface makes it simple for someone like me to navigate through access and sort options, but I also see that the system as a whole gives the libraries I work with rock-solid, highly efficient way of managing the networks demanding traffic and storage needs."

The target markets for the new campaign include:
¨Broadcast and Cable Networks
¨Sports and Entertainment Production Companies
¨Corporate Marketing and Public Relations
¨Government (Federal, State, Local)
¨Law Enforcement
¨Education

As the business world becomes increasingly 24/7 with demands for media assets from, and for, cable/satellite and the Internet distribution channels, the ability of producers, marketing and sales managers, public relations specialists and publicists to know, at their fingertips, what is available to them, and where those media assets are located, becomes increasingly critical, says Ken Michielsen, Executive Vice President, NSi. The NSi MLS has already proven itself to be an integral tool for managing media assets for more than 250 media, corporate, governmental and educational organizations. Its now time for us to capitalize on that success for the companys future growth."

The new NSi campaign will begin with a direct marketing push in February, followed by a advertising campaign in select trade publications.
