LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) April 20, 2004 -
While Bush and his conservative supporters scramble to write anti-gay discrimination into the Constitution, out and outspoken writer Gregory Blair has created a work of fiction that aims to fight the bitterness of that bigotry with irreverent humor, wit and style. Alternatively rude, romantic and wry, ÂSpewing Pulp takes no prisoners as it celebrates one gay manÂs pursuit of happiness in the face of our countryÂs continuing prejudice against gays and lesbians.
Part novel, part screenplay and totally out of control ÂSpewing Pulp tells the serio-comic story of Dale Scribner--a twenty-something gay man trying to make sense out of modern life in America. The novellaÂs misadventures and musings address some of the basic issues that affect the gay and lesbian community today: homophobia, self-image, and the never-ending struggle for equality. The social commentary pokes fun at everything from Bush to Britney Spears.
Gregory Blair will be signing copies of ÂSpewing Pulp at the Los Angeles LGBT Pride Festival, June 19th and 20th. It will be available for purchase in June at http://www.bbotw.com and selected bookstores.
