Direct FX has launched an Internet service, enabling Banks and Credit Unions to offer various Foreign Currency services for their retail and business customers.

This Internet-based service enables the bank or credit unions customers to purchase Foreign Currency banknotes, Travelers Checks, Bank Drafts or International Wire Transfers from their online banking system.

The system provides each Bank or Credit Union with its own branded and customized Website. This White Label Site can be integrated with the banks own Internet-based online banking services. The banks customers will have access to the new currency functions once they have logged on to the banks own website.

The Direct FX White Label Website provides community banks and credit unions with additional services for their customers. Vacation and business travelers will be able to obtain bank notes in the currencies of over 70 countries and American Express travelers checks for 17 countries. Individuals and businesses will be able send funds and make payments by issuing bank drafts for 28 countries or sending wire transfers to any of 42 different countries.

Direct FX operates and maintains the website in the background. Its banking partner, a subsidiary of the Bank of Ireland, supplies the foreign currency products offered. Banks and credit unions earn a commission on every completed transaction, providing it with a new source of fee-based income.

As with all their foreign currency services, Direct FX is maintaining their policy of great value by initially making this new service available to banks and credit unions with no up front costs.

We believe that by not charging an up front fee and by allowing commissions earned to pay for the service, banks and credit unions will be able to 'Put their toes in the currency services water with no cost and or risk.
