The ATOMIC B-BALLAZ Obliterate the Old Super Hero Rules with Pioneering Story Lines that connect with today's Diverse Culture of Kids.
The ATOMIC B-BALLAZ Official Pro Team Mascots make sports history as the first collection of Appealing,, Marketable Characters ever attributed to a Pro Sports League, thereby triggering a marketing synergy between kids and pro sports previously thought impossible.
Chattanooga, TN (PRWEB) April 1, 2004 -- Groundbreaking, History Making, Original, are the three phrases that adequately describe ATOMIC B-BALLAZ, the groundbreaking Official Pro Team Mascots from creator
Kenneth McIntosh.
The ATOMIC B-BALLAZ make history as the first collection of Appealing,, Marketable Characters ever attributed to a Pro Sports League. All "Animated Basketballs", the ATOMIC B-BALLAZ up the creative ante in licensed team apparel, and, in the process, set a new standard of originality by which all other licensed apparel will now be judged.
As Kenneth puts it, "The licensed apparel industry has stagnated, the same basic designs are being recycled each year. There's nothing truly new, but designers are locked in".
According to Kenneth, "The ATOMIC B-BALLAZ are the most Original, Dynamic property ever associated with professional sports, and will provide the freshness and originality that the industry has been begging for."
The ATOMIC B-BALLAZ were originally developed by Kenneth McIntosh in 1993 as fresh, Original Characters based on the geographical areas represented by NBA Teams. There are 30 ATOMIC B-BALLAZ Characters in all. In 1994, Kenneth approached the NBA regarding a joint Licensing Agreement for his Original Characters. In February 1995, the NBA entered into a Non-Apparel Licensing agreement with Kenneth's company, KM Sports Products, to market fashion watches bearing the NBA Team Logo, and the Original Character for that geographical area. The line was to be marketed under the name "NBA BOYZ".
After efforts failed to expand the very limited Licensing Agreement signed by the NBA, however, Kenneth decided, in August 1995, to market his Original Characters under the name "ATOMIC B-BOYS", and later in June 2003, under the name "ATOMIC B-BALLAZ". After starting in small and local markets, the ATOMIC B-BALLAZ are now on the verge of a national explosion.
With an Animated Series in the works, the ATOMIC B-BALLAZ will obliterate the old Action Hero mold with pioneering story lines that will connect with "all" of today's kids. It seems that Kenneth was not the only one excited about the ATOMIC B-BALLAZ. Kenneth was quite surprised when the great Stan Lee, creator of Spiderman, X-Men,
and The Hulk, called him and expressed his admiration for the characters.
Asked about what many consider to be a groundbreaking story line in his recently penned script, Kenneth says "The status quo for super-hero themed movies, and for action based tv animation, is to have far-out, unrealistic story lines, that don't connect with today's kids and are not relevant in any way to their lives. Studio execs only see our kids as tools to be exploited by marketers.
The ATOMIC B-BALLAZ will fight this trend with every fiber of it's being. It will not be reduced to a 30 or 90 minute commercial for an
action figure, but it will, instead, empower, and inspire young people of all races, and discuss topics relevant to their lives, even
the lives of kids in our minority communities, which studio execs write-off and ignore as not being 'mainstream', but we won't ignore them like everyone else does, we believe that 'all' our kids are important ".
