Vytra Health Plans CEO Thomas McAteer to Share Insights at HIA Business Luncheon

McAteer, Jr. will be one of three executives from the New York-Long Island region on a panel of experts addressing healthcare trends and issues at the April 2004 business luncheon meeting of the Hauppauge Industrial Association (HIA). Kevin Dahill, President and CEO, Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council, and Laurel Pickering, Executive Director, New York Business Group on Health, will join McAteer on the panel.

Melville, NY (PRWEB) April 2, 2004 -- Vytra Health Plans President and CEO Thomas J. McAteer, Jr. will be one of three executives from the New York-Long Island region on a panel of experts addressing healthcare trends and issues at the April 2004 business luncheon meeting of the Hauppauge Industrial Association (HIA). Kevin Dahill, President and CEO, Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council, and Laurel Pickering, Executive Director, New York Business Group on Health, will join McAteer on the panel.
   
Entitled Consumerism -- Can it Save Healthcare?", the discussion will include a question-and-answer session and will be moderated by Kevin Quinn, Partner, Chernoff Diamond & Co. The program will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on April 13 at the Sheraton Long Island Hotel in Hauppauge, off Exit 53 of the Long Island Expressway.
   
Employer-sponsored healthcare in America is facing significant challenges as rising costs are shifting more and more to employees," said McAteer. This program is designed to help employers and employees understand and address the problem."
   
The panelists will explain the latest insurance plan designs, in addition to discussing rising employee healthcare costs, and share their perspectives on the future of healthcare, including the growing tension between private-sector solutions and national healthcare models.
