Press Releases are probably the most recyclable public relations tools. If a press release is well written and timely, it can be recycled for a number of later uses. Here are eight ways to put those dated press releases to good use.

1. Web copy -- Extract snappy copy and key information and use it on your website. If the release contains quotes, include the quotes on your testimonials page, in your bio or create an accomplishments page.
2. Electronic or Print Media Kit --Save it as a PDF or HTML file and add it o your electronic or print media kit. Also make a copy of it for your print media kit.
3. Online Newsroom -- Use it as an article in your newsroom or place it in a press release archive on your site.
4. Newsletter -- Use it in your print or online newsletter. Use it as an independent article or create a section called my news.
5. Blog it -- Add your press release to your blog.
6. Ad Copy -- Extract snappy copy and quotes for use in ads and advertorials.
