Sheila Ogle Of MRPP Named NFIB Small Business Champion Of North Carolina
The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) State Leadership Council has named Sheila Ogle, of Media Research Planning and Placement Inc. (MRPP) in Cary, as the first North Carolina NFIB Business Champion.
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) April 3, 2004 ---The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) State Leadership Council has named Sheila Ogle, of Media Research Planning and Placement Inc. (MRPP) in Cary, as the first North Carolina NFIB Business Champion. Bill Whiteheart, NFIB Leadership Council Chair presented the award to Ogle on March 9th, at Secretary of State Elaine Marshalls Office. Ogle will also be honored at the 2004 National Small- Business Summit in Washington, D.C., on June 16-18, 2004.
Ogle has been a longtime community leader and activist for the NFIB and was recognized for her contributions to the organization through her many activities, which include participating in press conferences at the Legislature, maintaining communications with lawmakers, and creating and chairing a forum at the Cary Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee.
Ogle has received a number of awards for her professional, civic and community work including the national Rising Star Award from the Business Womens Network at the Diversity Women Leadership Summit, the Triangle Business Journals Women in Business Lifetime Achievement Award and National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) National Woman Business Owner of the Year Award, and Office Depots Woman of the Year.
Ogle, a native of Cary, North Carolina, is CEO of MRPP, Inc., one of the largest full service media agencies in the Southeastern United States. Founded in 1986, MRPP is considered the leading agency for managing the complete media process, including media research, planning, and placement. The company has grown to a $20 million dollar agency with 20 employees and has been named one of the Triangle (Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina) areas fastest growing firms. In 2001, Ogle opened a second venture, The Mathews House, an events facility in Cary, NC, which is housed in a renovated 1920s mansion and is expanding the facility to include a 2900 square-foot ballroom to accommodate the growing wedding and meeting business.
