(PRWEB) April 4, 2004 --Building on the success of PEERNET Reports 1.0, PEERNET today announced the release of PEERNET Reports 2.0, a major enhancement to the powerful and flexible ad hoc reporting system.
"The release of PEERNET Reports 2.0 positions us to be a major player in the Java enterprise reporting and ERP reporting marketplace," said PEERNET President and CEO Robert Massart.
With the release of 2.0, there are now three products in the PEERNET Reports family: PEERNET Reports, PEERNET Reports Embedded Engine, and PEERNET Reports for J2EE.
PEERNET Reports provides the visual tools to create and run any report or label required by your business (with extensive support for bar coding included), no matter how complicated or data-driven.
PEERNET Reports Embedded Engine provides all the design capabilities of PEERNET Reports, plus the ability for developers to embed PEERNET Reports into their own, distributable desktop product.
PEERNET Reports for J2EE provides all the design capabilities of PEERNET Reports, plus the ability for organizations to deploy PEERNET Reports onto a J2EE server or embed PEERNET Reports into their own web services.
And now included with PEERNET Reports is the PEERNET Reports Viewer, a new application which allows you to open, view, and print any report or label created with PEERNET Reports. Every PEERNET Reports license you purchase includes five Viewer licenses, allowing five other users to work with the reports and labels you create.
Also new for PEERNET Reports 2.0 is the inclusion of a dynamic request function, which allows you to produce output in a specified format (such as PDF, JPG, BMP, and PNG), and send it to a specified location (a local, network, or web address).
As well, PEERNET Reports 2.0 features more supported bar code symbologies, support for both metric and U.S. units of measurement, and the inclusion of two new built-in printers that allow you to produce your report or label output as PostScript or Encapsulated PostScript files. Furthermore, completely updated and expanded user guides, tutorials, and sample projects help you with your reporting, labeling, and bar coding projects at every step.
