BasWare to Automate Invoice Processing for Metso in North America

Process Industry Machinery and Systems Supplier to Streamline Accounts Payable Operations, Eliminate Paper with Electronic Invoice Processing Solution

A global supplier of process industry machinery and systems, as well as know-how and aftermarket services, Metso Corporation will implement BasWare Invoice Processing to support the financial shared service center which is planned to start operations for Metsos North American units in the fall of 2004. The center will process over 400,000 invoices per year.

BasWares Invoice Processing solution will include modules for purchasing order and invoice matching capabilities, which enhance the automation of invoice processing and purchasing areas. The BasWare system will be built with interfaces to Metsos SAP R/3 and BAAN systems, as well as several Materials Management systems.

We are aiming at considerable savings by establishing the shared service center and by the unification and electronic processing of purchase invoices.
