May 11th forum on exit strategies for business owners will offer owners of small- and medium-sized businesses tips on how to increase their business value prior to sale
(PRWEB) April 5, 2004 --Rocky Mountain Leadership Development and Chenoweth & Associates Business Consulting will co-host a forum on Tuesday, May 11th on exit strategies for business owners. This seminar, Exiting Your Business: What You Need to Know to Increase Value," will offer owners of small- and medium-sized businesses tips on how to increase their business value prior to sale. The forum will be hosted by the Loveland Chamber of Commerce, 5400 Stone Creek Circle (northwest of the intersection of I-25 and Highway 34).
The forum will provide practical, useful ideas for small and medium-sized business owners to evaluate how sellable their businesses are today. It will cover essential components that must be in place for a business owner to get the maximum value when selling. Four key strategic areas will be covered that create business value: customer focus; operational excellence; financial stability; and personnel development.
Owners will assess their own business against a "Value Checklist" to learn which elements add value and how to begin now to build those elements into their business.
CEOs, presidents and senior-level officers that own their companies are invited to attend. The forum will be most useful to owners of mature businesses, typically at least five years old and beyond start up stage. Owners planning for retirement, or younger business owners interested in cashing out the value of their business and doing something different, are welcome.
