Bright New Leaders Emerge in Albania
A New Paradigm in International Education. Sanctioned by the UN to be rolled out to 25 countries.
(PRWEB) April 10, 2004 --At the United Nations Millennium Summit in September 2000, world leaders set eight ambitious goals for drastically reducing poverty and improving lives. Those goals came one step closer to becoming reality in the impoverished and politically unstable country of Albania this past February. Over 90 young community leaders came together to weave a new vision for their beloved land under the guidance of Dr. Jean Houston at a Social Artistry Leadership Training Program. For five days, the group delved into their mythic past, danced to their traditional music, and emerged as Social Artists, each carrying a new story of hope and prosperity for their country that will inspire them for years to come.
The Social Artistry Leadership Training Program works with emerging young leaders around the world, teaching them how to combine their inner capacities with outward strategies to creatively seek solutions to todays troubling conditions. This training is sponsored by the United Nations Development Programme and will take place in 25 other countries, including Barbados this spring.
The Social Artistry Leadership Training Program will also be held in Ashland, Oregon on June 17-26, and is open to those who are committed to creating a difference in the world.
