BigDigit Releases Titles of Winning Mobile Entries Presented at 2nd 'Worlds Smallest Film Festival at CTIA Wireless 2004 in Atlanta
Top 'made for mobile films selected from multiple categories, including animation, comedy, mobile message art, mobile messages and mobile music video -- all created and packaged for presentation on wireless cellular devices.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 6, 2004 --BigDigit, Inc. today released the names of the finalists and winners in its 2nd Worlds Smallest Film Festival", which took place recently in Atlanta at CTIA Wireless 2004, the premier wireless event in the U.S. that attracted more than 60,000 attendees and members of the worldwide press.
Entries in the competition were submitted by both professional and non-professional content creators from the U.S. and other parts of the world, and were organized by specific categories ranging from animation and comedy to mobile message videos. Experts judged the 'made for mobile finalists in the competition on creativity, execution, and effective use of the mobile platform and selected those entries that best exemplified the use and potential of mobile devices as personal entertainment and information systems.
The 2nd 'Worlds Smallest Film Festival is the most recent in a continuing series of events held worldwide that are designed to showcase the best in digital content designed for small-format wireless devices, and to demonstrate the potential of this new broadcast medium as a mobile entertainment, commercial and business platform. Future events and competitions are planned for Los Angeles in August and London in September of this year.
Sponsors of the Atlanta event and competition included Qualcomm, Inc. (Nasdaq: QCOM), Real Networks, Inc., Universal Mobile, Analog Devices (NYSE: ADI) and YellowPepper Wireless.
The following is a list of winners by category in the Atlanta event, which were presented to an audience of mobile device executives, content creators and the press center-stage at the Mobile Entertainment Expo at CTIA Wireless 2004 and as part of the 2nd Worlds Smallest Film Festival".
