Two Ways to Save Time in Business Marketing

Is your business one of those thats not really cyclical, but always slows down in the summer? This is the perfect time to standardize some of your marketing activities and prepare for busier times in the fall.

(PRWEB) April 7, 2004 -- Is your business one of those thats not really cyclical, but always slows down in the summer? This is the perfect time to standardize some of your marketing activities and prepare for busier times in the fall.

1. Compile a set of template letters

Want to immediately increase your business efficiency? Create a set of pre-written letters and proposals for your most frequent needs. Write boilerplate" paragraphs for such items as media pitch cover letters, a variety of sales letters and keep-in-touch letters, congratulatory notes. Store the letters on your computer, so you can easily 'personalize' each note with specific details and customer names.

Name these letters with easily identifiable labels. Your sales letters might be named salesltr01, salesltr02 and your follow-up letters might be followltr01, followltr02, etc.

2. Generate an information kit

Sales professionals disagree on whether you should send information or try to make an appointment on the phone. Whichever tact you take, youll eventually need to leave written information with your prospect.

Include in your kit:
病 cover letter
病 brochure or fact sheet describing your products or services
冨our business card
病 biography on you and your company
病 current newsletter or a tips sheet with useful and actionable information
病 price sheet depending on what is appropriate for your business.
柊 special offer, discount or gift certificate

To be even more efficient, keep handy enough information kits that are already compiled and in envelopes with blank mailing labels. When you're ready to mail a packet, just complete the mailing label, attach correct postage or call the courier and youre set.
