Downtown Experimental-Blues Duo, Lone Vein, Brings Their Unique and Original Brand of Gothic Blues to Hell's Kitchen at Tagine

With the release of their debut CD 'New York Blues' underway Lone Vein is back on the stage. Angela "Plain Jane" Rogers and Eddy Jo Lately are planning a night filled with their original mini 'blues operettas' on April 18 at Tagine.

MANHATTAN, NY (PRWEB) April 7, 2004 --Lone Vein, affectionately referred to by fans as the 'Bonnie & Clyde of the Lower Eastside' due to their colorful visual stylings, is planning a night filled with their original mini 'blues operettas' on April 18 at Tagine. Writing and performing together for many years, Lone Vein is the culmination of sights and sounds the two veteran musicians have gathered as a mainstay on the NYC and tri-state circuit. Their past projects include critically acclaimed bands Laguna Moree and Ash-Negative. Always remaining on the cutting edge of musical expression, they have been covered in CMJ, Eastcoast Rocker and the Hoboken Current to name a few. Formerly appearing on a regular basis at the famed NY nightspot Ciel Rouge, Lone Vein has recently given memorable performances at downtown's Slipper Room and Pyramid Club.

In addition to key involvement with 'The Gloaming' artist's collective at the St. Marks theater Lone Vein has composed for and performed in a number of cutting edge plays around town. Edgar Oliver's 'Hands in Wartime' at the famed La Mama playhouse and an original production of Sam Shepard's 'Cowboy Mouth' at the infamous X.F.H. performance space are just a few examples. They are very excited to bring their downtown sound to Hell's Kitchen and look forward to merging it with the elegant and stylish ambiance of this charming midtown spot featuring authentic Moroccan cuisine and a full bar.
