Get Kids Active with Stinky Shoe & Coach LaRoo!

Award-winning video series offers new title that addresses the national obesity epidemic by teaching children fun and easy ways to increase their activity levels

Milwaukee, WI (PRWEB) April 12, 2004 -- National research indicates that one in five children currently is overweight or at risk of becoming overweight. Obesity not only can cause difficult self-esteem issues, but also a marked increase in the incidence of adult-onset diseases like hypertension, heart disease, joint and muscle problems and Type 2 diabetes. In reaction to this national epidemic, A.L.L. (Across Learning Lines) For Kids has released its third childrens video, Get Active with Stinky Shoe and Coach LaRoo. The goal of the 30-minute video is to engage preschoolers through 7 year olds in stimulating activity while teaching them the importance of physical fitness.

Developed by moms and caregivers, the video incorporates live action and instruction with popular animated characters, Stinky Shoe and Coach LaRoo. Camp Imagination is a place where children are encouraged to use their minds and bodies on an adventure that will get them up, get them moving and laughing. The program is designed to help children feel accomplished in setting and achieving personal goals, while getting the necessary 30 minutes of "pink cheeks" from activity that many experts recommend.

A.L.L. For Kids, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is the collaboration of a partnership of moms and sports coaches who saw a need for instructional videos that teach physical fitness and sports skills to young children just entering school and organized athletics.
