iFoyer Selects Google over Overture

In a move that many would consider to be one that doesn't require much consideration, iFoyer has choosen Google to be its primary search provider. "Google is still the leader in search, and that's why we choose it," said the iFoyer CEO. "The purpose of iFoyer is to provide the leading internet in two clicks or less. Google is the leading search provider; Overture isn't."

(PRWEB) April 9, 2004 -- The iFoyer (www.ifoyer.com) CEO commented on the likeliness of an Overture based search becoming the eventual primary search available to iFoyer users. "If Overture overtakes Google in this market, then Overture will be iFoyer's primary search provider."

Although Google is the primary search provider for iFoyer, the iFoyer Search tab provides links to all of the major search engines. "Users who prefer Overture-based search can get to AlltheWeb in two clicks, and more than a dozen other second-tier search providers," said the iFoyer CEO.

Asked to comment more about why iFoyer choose Google, the iFoyer CEO said the following, "Google is the leading search provider because it essentially saved the internet five years ago. At that time, webmasters were able to exploit the power of search by modifying their webpages to make them look like they were the results the user was searching for. Google put an end to this by taking the lead in making search results accurate."

"Google search results are honest. If another search provider puts the same amount of energy into creating an even more honest search engine, well, Google will have to step up their search engine again to compete, or begin losing their users."

The iFoyer CEO finished by saying, "Basically, if the day comes where Google is no longer the primary search available to iFoyer users, it has been replaced because it is no longer the primary search engine of the internet. What could appear in its spot is anyone's guess."
