CarePlus Health Plan in New York Teams Up with the Brooklyn Childrens Museum to Teach Children and Parents how to Learn Through Play".
New York, NY, April 9, 2004-- CarePlus Health Plan announced that they will be partnering with the Brooklyn Childrens Museum to present a series of educational performances, health related programs and workshops for children on weekends at the museum during the months of their sponsorship of the Amazing Castle" exhibit, from February through May 2004.
The Amazing Castle" exhibit will be open at Brooklyn Childrens Museum beginning February 7, 2004. Here kids can let their imaginations run wild by donning costumes and becoming inhabitants of a fanciful castle village, from pretending to be a court jester entertaining the King to toiling over a hot cauldron to prepare a medieval feast. These activities make learning history fun! Not only will CarePlus Health Plan conduct workshops for children and parents demonstrating the types of play that can encourage learning, but CarePlus will also coordinate special programs for the community covering other important public health issues such as early childhood development, child safety, injury prevention and adolescent concerns.
CarePlus Health Plan considers this partnership a chance to offer children a unique, and interactive educational opportunity as well as a chance to promote the importance of health awareness to youngsters. CarePlus Health Plan members will be allowed FREE entrance every Saturday into the Museum during designated months, to ensure that every child has an opportunity to learn. Karin Ajmani, President of CarePlus Health Plan proudly commented, The Brooklyn Childrens Museum is the only museum in New York State to be accredited by the American Association of Museums and we are eager to share their passion and commitment to educating children.
