Shape Technology Wins International Award

Shape Technology Ltd has won the DCCI John Parsons International Communication & Understanding Award 2004 it was announced today.

(PRWEB) April 10, 2004 --The award is given to a DCCI member firm, who the judges feel have the best plan for improving international communications.

Competition for this award was extremely intense this year, with more entrants than in previous years. It is therefore more of an accolade that your company was selected by our panel of judges." Elaine Walker, DCCI.    The award comprises a small trophy, a certificate and a cheque for 500 and was presented at the DCCI President's Annual Lunch on Wednesday, 18th February 2004. Malcolm Jenkins, Managing Director, collected the Award of behalf of Shape Technology It was a real honour to win this award. We are entering many awards this year and I hope this is the first of many to grace our walls".     Award Background The late John Parsons CBE (1936-1997) was a long-standing director of the DCCI and its President in 1988/89. He was keenly interested in encouraging small businesses to think about international markets. He was also an enthusiastic linguist and believed passionately in the importance of learning foreign languages by those engaged in overseas trade. To commemorate the important contribution John Parsons made to the DCCI and to the business life of Dorset as a whole the Chamber initiated in 1998 an international communication award for small businesses in his name.
