4Sight Group to address Association of Legal Administrators at upcoming 33rd Annual Educational Conference and Exposition.

DISASTER RESPONSIVENESS - A PRACTICAL APPROACH Seminar promises a wealth of critical information

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) April 10, 2004 --4Sight Group, LLC (4Sight), a premier provider of technology consulting and support services will be providing attendees of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) 33rd Annual Educational Conference and Exposition with must-have information to aid in Disaster Response Planning (DRP). This key event brings together law firm administrators, managers and partners from all over the world and will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, May 17th -- 20th.

Linda Dickey, a former law firm administrator with over 20 years of experience and now a Senior Consultant with 4Sight will be sharing her insights and practical tips to firms embarking on what can seem like an overwhelming project. 4Sight is frequently called upon to provide an initial assessment of each firms existing Disaster Recovery documentation and related Business Continuity Process. 4Sight also provides assistance to corporate clients trying to gain a better understanding of where their legal counsel is in terms of this critical process. This understanding can help to allay fears based on the disruption that could be caused by a loss of legal counsel due to a disaster.

4Sight firmly believes that the best first-step in assisting a firm with developing a DRP strategy is to conduct a 2-day workshop. The intent of the workshop is to overview the 4Sight DRP process, to explain the methodology and tools we use in the plans development, and to provide the firm with a high level assessment of where they are and where they need to be" with respect to the DRP overall process.

This critical process requires ongoing support which in many cases results in the creation of a Chief Security Officer or Homeland Security Officer role within the organization. During the 2-day workshop we suggest the active participation of the firms DRP Committee and Senior Management, making certain individuals responsible for the following disciplines are included on the Committee:

√   Attorney Practice Group Administration
√   Law Firm Administration
√   Information Technology
√   Finance
√   Facilities
√   Records
√   Library
√   Security

4Sights philosophy is that DRP should be built-in to every aspect of the firm and must permeate technology (through the business process) from the top down. This philosophy is clearly evidenced by 4Sights methodologies, strategic relationships and recommendations which are designed to seek out best of breed solutions.
