A New Century Screenplay Finalist
CAMPBELL RADETZKY believes hes completely left behind the bewildering affair he had with tenacious beauty, young FRAN SERPENTINI that cost him his marriage. But, more importantly, he's a reluctant psychic with immense sorcerer capabilities, insisting he's only a simple mural artist/skyscraper washer. A "normal", divorced father.
But, Campbell knows" hell find the literal, sexy girl of his intense "dreams" when he crashes a billionaires fundraiser; though, as a rule, he ruthlessly disregards and suppresses his infuriating "gift". The same gift that gave no warning to help him prevent his older brother's death, and which drove his gifted" father to suicide.
Campbell's simple crash to party, dream girl search twists when his brother RONE reappears from the dead to lead Campbell straight to MALOY D'AQUINO, the billionaires hostess, alleged mistress (says Fran), and Campbells actual dream girl; a hesitant, psychic beauty, whos hiding from him; and Campbell, having found her, again refuses acknowledging his brothers disquieting presence.
The more sensitive Maloy, however, continues avoiding her careless dream lover, despite her obvious, passionate interest. Unfortunately, she also is unable, like Campbell, to avoid or ignore ghostly Rone, who, in order to get through to his brother, goes through her, hounding her; knowing she can stabilize the erratic Campbell, whos coming into his Power, whether he wants to or not -- just as their father had.
Stubborn Campbell still insists Maloy is the one", like any plainly normal man might; yet, although he may deny it, the more Campbell is physically and emotionally intimate with her, the stronger, more out of control, and clearly evident becomes his Power, as it affects and alters physical, outward reality.
Campbells jealous ex-lover and self-made "witch" Fran witnesses it and becomes more obsessed to not only possess the man of her sensual desires but also his extraordinary paranormal Power as well, leading her to skillfully leech and turn the Power hes disregarding against him, through his young children, forcing him to realize that undisciplined and alone, his own carelessness will help Fran drive him quicker into insanity by destroying his kids; and Maloy. Campbell not only wants Maloy but needs her to stabilize his Power and guide him; but, he cant find her.
Unable to locate Maloy, whose better-honed psychic abilities keep her hidden from him, Campbell desperation to save his dying children forces him to finally acknowledge Rone, when he begs assistance in finding Maloy. Campbells full consummation of his unusual power bond with Maloy, takes them behind the everyday world into a dangerous Power landscape dimension, where they must battle Fran, who can devastate his sanity and forever chain him in psychic slavery, using him to destroy all he loves.
But hell have to face his personal Satan -- his fathers legacy, before fully mastering and facing off with Fran one last deadly time; for his kids live, for his love, for all he truly was extraordinarily always meant to be. --119 pgs
