Eglinton Grand Announces Much Anticipated Grand Opening

Toronto-based histrocial landmark Eglinton Theatre (formerly Famous Players flagship theatre) to re-open as a 1930's art-deco style events venue.

Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) April 14, 2004 --- The Eglinton Grand (formerly the Eglinton Theatre), one of Torontos premier historical landmarks and event venues will officially open May 2004, said Sam DUva, Managing Director of Dynamic Hospitality & Entertainment Group.

In December 2001, Famous Players announced that the longstanding community treasure known as the Eglinton Theatre would be closing its doors for good.

However, in August 2003, Dynamic Hospitality & Entertainment Group, one of Torontos foremost hospitality and entertainment companys, announced that it had acquired the lease for the Eglinton Theatre and planned to transform it back to its original 1930s art-deco grandeur and convert it into a special events venue.

The Eglinton Grand represents the majesty, beauty, design and grandeur of an era gone by. As a private events venue, guests will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a environment that defines class, elegance and beauty," said Piero Suppa, Managing Director, Dynamic Hospitality & Entertainment Group.

To accomplish the massive re-design of the 20,000 square foot, 750 seat historical landmark theatre into a fully functional event facility, Dynamic Hospitality & Entertainment Group retained national-award winning architects munge//leung design associates to create the 1930s art-deco style, elements, design, colours and fabrics throughout the entire venue.

The venues capacity will accommodate dinners from 100 to 530 guests and receptions for up to 1,000 guests.

The Eglinton Grand will offer a number of services and options for people renting the venue including valet parking, in-house and kosher catering, florists, linens, audio visuals, entertainment, bridal room, on-site ceremonies, catering staff, pin spotting, an 13 x 18 foot screen, marquee signage on Eglinton Avenue and full wheelchair accessibility.

Designed by the Eglinton Grands Corporate Executive Chef David Copperthwaite, the venue will also offer multiple catering and culinary options. Clients can also work with the venues Executive Chef to design custom menus depending on their specific needs for an event.

Unlike other venues throughout the City, we designed the Eglinton Grand to accommodate every type of private function. From capacity to menu selection to décor and services, the Eglinton Grand is in a class of its own," said DUva.

With 17 years experience in the hospitality and entertainment industry, Dynamic Hospitality & Entertainment Group, innovators of the Eglinton Grand event venue, are recognized experts. The Company also owns Atlantis Pavilions at Ontario Place, Pavilion Royale Reception & Convention Facilities, Seven Lounge and Yuk Yuks Downtown & Mississauga locations.
