Will Zudha's Dear Dr. redefine Online Medical Consulting?

Zudha announced the availability of Dear Dr. a collaborative software that is claimed to be an interesting concept that could bring paradigm shift in online medical consulting with gradual adoption by the global medical community in the interests of portability of medical records. A free software for home users to maintain family health records is also made available at http://www.healthandme.com/deardr

(PRWEB) April 14, 2004 -- Having resolved to innovate in peer-to-peer, collaborative applications for the good use of enterprises and general users, Zudha researched heavily to make use of available peer-to-peer specifications and technologies to bring out high quality collaborative solutions. Dear Dr. is one of the outcomes of such an effort.

The software is centered on Doctors, Physicians and allows Pharmaceutical users and Health Conscious General users to stay in touch with physicians while online without relying on a central server. A router or a group of routers will serve for the routing of messages across the internet. The software will be a boon for doctor to doctor collaboration, claims Zudha.

The free version for General users is all set to revolutionize the way personal medical records in a family (family health records) are maintained by home users. The free version enables family members to maintain their complete medical history with case details and bills paid. It allows them to interact with doctors from their desktop to get appointments and follow up consulting through online chat. Additionally, the personal health records are exportable into text/xml format which is of utmost importance in contemporary world that is concerned about portability and ownership of such records.

The software addresses the security issues by implementing encryption and encoding techniques.

The roadmap for Dear Dr. includes features like audio/video, co-working on a medical image such as scan reports during diagnostical brainstorming sessions by a group of doctors, interfacing with devices to physically read remote patient health in realtime.

Zudha is upbeat to form a general consensus by various medical groups to leverage its work in the interest of mankind.

The software is made available for public download at http://www.healthandme.com/deardr
