Garland, TX (PRWEB) April 15, 2004 -- Escape From Yesterday, by Donna M. McFadden, is a mystery/romance that takes the reader on a journey of love, mystery and intrigue. Set in the small town of Fairfield, Texas, the story features a number of twists and turns that will keep the reader hooked and turning the pages.

Alone, injured, and tortured by sinister dreams, Billie Randall finds herself at the mercy of the kindness of strangers. When her efforts prove unsuccessful she teams up with ranch owner Jack Landson, a man who quickly gains her trust and her heart. Although Billie is determined to discover the secrets behind her nightmares, she never suspects how deadly the truth is, or that the man she loves knows more than he is telling... Sometimes it takes more than finding love to secure happy-ever-after. It takes finding the courage within.

Additionally, McFadden will launch a new section on her website, Writers of Tomorrow, in order to acknowledge the creativity, intelligence and imagination of aspiring young authors. Look for the new section in April 2004. This site will publish the short stories of children and teenagers who hope to become published authors one day. All children and teenagers who would like to see their short story published on the site are welcome to submit a request through the submissions box on her website. Ms. McFadden states that without the encouragement of teachers, friends, and loved ones she would never have pursued a writing career. She now intends to devote a great deal of energy providing other children and teenagers with the same type of encouragement.

What others are saying about Escape From Yesterday:
Awesome
I have to say that I finished the book in 2.5 days! It was awesome!
During these 2.5 days, my family tells me I fully ignored them...HA! I've burned dinner twice, forgot to check homework, etc...the list could go on and on. I loved the ending. In fact I had tears in my eyes all through the last 2 chapters. You did a great job and I can't wait for the next one! Carolyn S., Mesquite, Texas

I met you at the book signing at the Frederick Town Mall on February 29. I bought your book "Escape From Yesterday" and just finished reading it. I thoroughly enjoyed your first book. There were some lessons to be learned by not always holding back some truths that should be told. I'm looking forward to reading more of your books in the future. Linda Johnson

Absolutely fabulous! One of the best books I've read in a long time. I laughed, I cried, I was totally drawn in by the characters and storyline. Simply could not put it down! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! Can't wait to read book number two. P.C., Dallas

Donna McFadden's debut novel, "Escape From Yesterday" is a well-painted visual with hidden details of a child's lost family. As her reader's eyes take in the beauty of McFadden's words, they discover how protagonist, Billie Randal "remembers her heart". In "Escape From Yesterday" McFadden strokes with her pen, water colors which run together in hues of lies, mystery and betrayal. Though McFadden paints a black curtain over Billie's past, at the same time, she dips into her palette adding pastels which draw her readers into Billie's recovery from a head injury with the help of a kindly couple who take her in, and a budding romance with their son Jack who knows more than he tells. This was my first contemporary romance to review and I was delighted with Ms. McFadden's inventive ways of using description in her writing. Escape From Yesterday is a story of courage, love, and determination. This is a must read for anyone who loves contemporary romance. I am looking forward to reading more of Ms. McFadden's works.

A Real Page-Turner, DM Kraft, author of "Somewhere on the Edge of Words"
Donna McFadden's debut novel is rich with secrets and revelations that are slowly dished out, page by page, like a delicious Thanksgiving feast you can't seem to walk away from, no matter how full you think you already are. "Escape From Yesterday" could be a Cinderella story, but the heroine, Billie, won't allow herself the luxury of escaping into the arms of her Prince Charming. While Billie has managed to hide from the painful memories of her past, she's also preventing herself from accepting the promise of a happy future. How far can she run, and for how long can she hide, before she pushes Jack, her own knight-in-shining-armor, out of her life forever? That's the last secret I couldn't wait to turn the last page to find the answer to. And now I find myself looking forward to turning the pages of whatever story she manages to cook up next!

O.K.! I must admit this is my first romance novel. I am an avid reader of mysteries but have always shied away from the Romance Mystery. You have won me over. At first I was hesitant to even begin but once I started I was hooked. You got my attention whit the opening and kept me wondering throughout the book. Great ending! Thanks for a great read.
