(PRWEB) April 17, 2004 --In New York State Black males represent nearly 50 percent of the unemployment rate, and black women represent close to 42 percent. When you add these numbers together the question remains is this by design or by choice?
Mark Levitan, Sr. Policy Analyst for Community Service Society has cited that the local job market remains weak and unemployment remains high throughout NYC in the Black community. Black Business Circle will be addressing the high rate of unemployment through Empowerment Workshops, Panel Discussion, and Power Networking.

The conference will begin at 8:30 AM and end at 4:30 PM The Red Carpet Award Gala includes Community Economic Awards Ceremony, Entertainment, Talent Show Winner, Dinner & Networking. The Red Carpet Gala will begin at 5:30 PM and end at 7:30 PM. Black Business Circle will address the high rate of unemployment through technology awareness forums, technology empowerment forums, strengthening and building greater support systems for existing businesses, creation of new African American Businesses, development of training programs, Power Networking, Small Business Development workshops, and exploring new and creative means of business financing.
Black Business Circle is an economic empowerment movement to empower African Americans through creating a vehicle where diverse contacts come together with the goal of Economic Empowerment.
