CHICAGO, IL - April 19, 2004 -- Kuhn Capital announced today that -- on behalf of its client, ICF Consulting -- it had successfully concluded the sale of an ICF unit, Energy Solutions, Inc. (ESI), to Nexus Energy Software. The terms of the sale were not disclosed.

"Our search for a strategic partner for ESI culminated in a strong match between the company and Nexus." said Ryan Kuhn, a Kuhn Capital principal. "Adding ESIs sophisticated electricity load forecasting to Nexus utility customer interaction solutions means that their utility clients will enjoy even more accurate electricity demand forecasting and customer service than either company could deliver alone."

ESI is the developer of Energy Vision Enterprise, a software suite used by about 35 utilities for improved T&D network planning and operation, load forecasting, and complex billing and settlement. The acquisition brings under the Nexus banner both ESIs software line and the entire ESI team, currently located in San Francisco and Fairfax, VA. Along with Nexus ENERGYprism® applications, the newly combined company serves about 75 unregulated energy suppliers, integrated utilities, market operators, T&D providers, and state energy agencies.

"Both ESI and Nexus are leaders in applications that add value to billing and meter data for the transforming energy marketplace," said Harvey Michaels, Nexus Chairman and CEO. "ESIs products and team have an impressive track record for delivering solutions that enhance and enable critical operations while reducing the need for metering and T&D infrastructure improvements," Michaels continued. "Together we can now offer innovative solutions that integrate network information with opportunities for customers to better control their loads and reduce costs."

Rick Brakken, formerly president of ESI and now an SVP at Nexus added: "Harvey Michaels and I have worked together in the past, and along with Mark Inglis, a founder of ESI and now a VP at Nexus, we are very excited about the combination. Our organizations share a common vision, strategy, and commitment to product innovation, and we think this is a great opportunity to create value for our customers."
