Chandler, AZ goes live with Voice and WebUtility
The City of Chandler, AZ has gone live with an Interactive Voice and Web Response solution for their Utility Billing Department.
PORTLAND, OR (PRWEB) April 19, 2004 --Selectron Technologies Inc., a provider of interactive solutions for government agencies, today announced that the City of Chandler, AZ has gone live with an Interactive Voice and Web Response solution for their Utility Billing Department.
As one of the fastest growing cities in the nation, the City of Chandler is constantly striving to meet the needs and expectations of its more than 200,000 residents. In an effort to save their citizens time and money, the City has initiated a program to bring many resident services online.
Our objective is to make government services more easily accessible for our residents", said Kevin McManus, Project Manager. We understand that busy lifestyles dont often allow our citizens to interact with us during regular business hours, and providing online access to resident services has almost become a necessity."
Part of the Citys plan included giving residents a user-friendly method to check the status of their utility account and make payments by phone or through the internet.
When department staff began looking for a solution that would integrate with their Hansen Utility Billing solution, they came to Selectron Technologies. We were already using Selectrons VoicePermits and InspecTrack products for our Building and Planning Services. Selectron understands our business processes and has always been easy to work with. We knew they would be a good choice for this project," said Mr. McManus.
Working with City staff and software developers from Hansen, Selectron engineered a solution that would interface seamlessly with the Hansen database while incorporating the standard business rules employed by the department.
The new solution went live in February, to the delight of Chandler's tech-savvy residents. In addition to processing credit card payments, users can find out their payment and billing history, and arrange to stop service when moving.
