(PRWEB) April 19, 2004 --Eighteen people were arrested, and nearly $7,500 in cash was seized by authorities at a Westside address, which authorities said was the site of illegal gambling.
Indianapolis police and Marion County sheriff's investigators made the arrests late Monday in the first block of Beachway Drive, which is north of Rockville Road and just east of I-465.
No details about the operation were released other than the names and addresses of the people arrested. They were preliminarily charged with misdemeanor gambling. Most of the men were from Indianapolis or Greenwood. The ages of the participants ranged from 18 to 69, police reports said.
