Kabir Sehgal appointed DPG Chairman Advisor

DPG Chairman Bobby Kahn has appointed Kabir Sehgal as Chairman's Advisor on Youth Vote, Organization and Mobilization for the 2004 Presidential election.

Kabir is in his third year of pursuing a double major in Computers and Music at Dartmouth College. He recently started his fourth company, CodeIvy.com, an online portal that demystifies Ivy League and other select colleges in America. He serves as Founder of his third company, Mindvine Technologies. Earlier this year, Kabir appeared in USA Today as an Honorable Mention on the 2004 All Academic Team, a national award.

Kabir brings a wide range of experience in public service and youth politics to this new position. He interned with Senator Jay Rockefeller IV in his Washington, DC, office. In 2002, Kabir started to assemble Senator Joe Lieberman's presidential campaign at Dartmouth College, and was asked by the Senator to run his campaign at Dartmouth for the New Hampshire primaries. In August 2003, Kabir served as Director of Internet Operations for Ambassador Andrew Young's Exploratory Senate Bid, where he led a team that created the internet infrastructure and website. More recently, Kabir has consulted with John Kerry's campaign on internet strategies. He has also served as an aide to Senator Max Cleland.

Kabir, an Atlanta native, is also an accomplished jazz bassist and a staff columnist for Dartmouth College's daily newspaper. Chairman Kahn looks forward to putting his experience and energy to work for the Presidential campaign.
