(PRWEB) April 20, 2004 -- Ninth Annual Black Writers On Tour Conference Is Larger Than Ever!

Bring The Whole Family-Theres Something For Everybody
Dr. Rosie Milligan once again brings the Black Writers On Tour Conference to Los Angeles on Saturday, April 24, 2004, and it will be more dynamic than ever, with more than 300 Black authors, agents and editors gathering for a one day event. This years theme is, Literacy is Everybodys Business-Who Will Tell Our Story?"

The renowned Dr. Claud Anderson, author of PowerNomics, The National Plan to Empower Black America, will be the keynote luncheon speaker. Noted TV and radio personality Dr. Grace Cornish, New York, Maxine Thompson, Literary Agent/author, Attorney Joe C. Hopkins, author of I Will Not Apologize and Dottie Walters, author of Speak and Grow Rich. Other out-of-state participants include: Linda Clemens, Indiana, George Subira, New Jersey, David Coleman, Nashville, and Professor Walter Williams, Chicago.

This year, Black Writers On Tour will spotlight our young authors, Marquise Cormier, author of I Am Not A Problem Child, Miya and Meryl McCurry, authors of The Foods and The Sea Monster's Darkest Night.
Black Writers On Tour will include a free writing class for children. The Council of Elders will present African American writers who are sixty-five and older in a forum called, Let the Elders Speak." We encourage youths to come and listen at the feet of these elders as they share wisdom and life lessons.

There will be free seminars, such as Healing Hurting Women," Healing Hurting Men," and Spirituality Versus Religion." There will be open exhibits throughout the day. Attend the Poetry Jam Competition-WIN CASH!

The conference has been designed to provide writers with the practical information they need to work in the literary industry. Workshops will be held throughout the day and will cover the following Seminar Topics:
