FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Former Acoustic Junction Frontman Reed Foehl Releases Debut Solo LP Spark (Never Foehl Records/Redeye- May 18, 2004)

Releasing a Spark: Former Acoustic Junction frontman Reed Foehl gears up for the May 18th 2004 release of his debut solo LP 'Spark'.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) April 22, 2004 - Reed Foehl, who collectively sold over 100,000 records with his former band, Acoustic Junction, finds himself on the cusp of a significant career transformation with the release of his first solo record, "Spark," which will be available in major record stores nationwide May 18, 2004. The young singer-songwriters eight-year commitment with Acoustic Junction lead him through the release of five records, one major label and one independent label record deal, and over 1200 live performances.

With the December 10, 2003 launch of his start-up label, NEVER-FOEHL Records, the former Acoustic Junction frontman is adhering to his independent spirit by issuing Spark the old fashioned way: on his own.

With national distribution by Redeye USA (the distribution arm to Yep Roc Records) and AAA radio promotion by Vector Management and Michelle Clark, the release of "Spark" is likely to catapult Foehl into the spotlight as one of the most promising solo acts to break in 2004.

Throughout his musical career, Foehl has shared the stage with such legendary artists as Dave Matthews, Patti Griffin, Taj Mahal, David Lindley, Blues Traveler, Widespread Panic, Guster, Howie Day, and Big Head Todd and the monsters. In addition to performing with renowned artists, Foehl has also recorded with such industry greats as Graham Nash, Morphine drummer Billy Conway, Mellencamp drummer Kenny Aronoff and Hall and Oates bass player T-Bone Walk.

Making way to the small screen in 2003, music from Spark has been featured on Dawsons Creek Television series and 2nd season DVD, as well as CBSs Joan of Arcadia and Foxs Party of Five DVD.

Foehls forthcoming solo effort has also garnered generous critical acclaim, earning praises from, among others, The Boston Globe [he sings like he feels every note...each song tells a story, all of which he relates astonishingly well," and The Harford Current songs with soul...no one goes away disappointed."

Foehls honest storytelling and melodic songwriting provide the makeup of a truly memorable artist; his independence, character and passion for performing live have granted him the ability to continue doing that which he does best: telling the stories of his life and reminding us to hold on to the spark.

About Reed Foehl: Boston-born Reed Foehl experienced music from an early age, both domestically and on the street. The young artist got his start playing live music as a street performer in Bostons Fanuel Hall at the tender age of eleven. Foehls parents also provided a crucial musical diet at home, performing in their now 25-year-old bluegrass band, which still holds practice every Thursday night. With the release of his forthcoming LP Spark, Foehl will be hitting the road in the summer of 2004 on a nationwide tour.
