MARSHFIELD, VT (PRWEB) April 26, 2004 -

— Re-Bop Records pulls together a jam-packed recording of 60 traditional and original songs and rhymes in 60 minutes in "Mother Goose’s Never-Ending Tea Party." The project’s music styles shift from folk to R&B to reggae to rock to lullaby, showcasing extraordinary kid and grownup performers — all framed within an imaginative tea party skit that will engage and inspire kids from 6 months to 8 years old. To encourage interaction, a beautifully illustrated lyric and rhyme booklet is included. A portion of the proceeds from this project will be donated to the Vermont Center for the Book, to support its signature Mother Goose Programs.

The CD's richly produced dawn-to-dusk concept begins, naturally, with waking up and breakfast songs and rhymes, such as Colin McCaffrey’s fiddle-lively “Wake Up, Baby, Day’s A-Breaking” and Mother Goose rhymes like “Pat-A-Cake, Pat-A-Cake.” Then it's tea party preparation time with “To Market To Market,” “Hickory Dickory Dock” and soul sensation Sandra Wright’s wailing “Old Mother Hubbard.” The tea party itself is celebrated with gems like the finger-popping “Mary Had A Little Lamb,” “I’m A Little Teapot” and a rocking “My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean.” The special day winds down with “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” and the exquisitely arranged lullaby “All The Pretty Little Horses.”

Chief Re-Bop and former educator Diana Winn says, “Mother Goose’s Never-Ending Tea Party was a pure delight to co-produce with Colin McCaffrey and Pam McCann, and it’s a wonderful addition to Re-Bop’s eclectic catalog.”

Since 1989, when Vermont’s Re-Bop Records pioneered classic rock ’n’ roll “for kids and their grownups,” the label has been expanding its catalog into family, holiday, and read aloud categories, winning every major parenting award, many times over.
