Virgin Megastore Sacramento Hosts Onsite Registration For Northern California's 'Urban Idol' Music Competition."

Northern California's "Urban Idol" is accepting music submissions during onsite registration for it's industry supported talent search featuring new R&B Artists performing all orginal music.

(PRWEB) April 25, 2004 --Beginning May 7th, 2004, R&B artists from all over Northern California will converge on one venue, every Friday night for six weeks to show major labels and some of musics most influential professionals that they have what it takes to be Northern Californias next URBAN IDOL".

Kicking off the seasons newest industry event will be its official onsite registration taking place this Saturday from 11-3 pm and Sunday from 1-4 pm at Virgin Megastore Sacramento, an official Northern Californias URBAN IDOL" sponsor. Virgin Megastore Sacramento is located at 1817 Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento California.

Interested R&B artists are asked to drop off their tape or CD containing 2-3 songs as well as the registration form provided accompanied by a $25 non-refundable submission fee.

Artists who miss the onsite registration opportunity can also submit their music by mail. Submissions must be mailed to :

Mailed submissions must be accompanied buy a non-refundable $10 submission fee (versus the $25 onsite registration fee) and contact information where the artist can be reached and their age.

The artist to win the title of Northern Californias URBAN IDOL" will win a professional photo shoot and free studio time to record their own album among other prizes. Virgin Megastores in Northern California will also carry the winners CDs in stores as well as host an album release party at both Virgin Megastores in Sacramento and San Francisco once the artist has finished recording.
