Ashland, Kentucky Hosts Music Industry Conference: Its All About Music" Friday through Sunday, April 30, May 1 & 2
ASHLAND, KENTUCKY (PRWEB) April 27, 2004 -- Executive Director of The Arts Council Of Northeastern Kentucky Trish Hall announced that the Music Industry Conference: Its All About Music" will take place Friday, April 30 through Sunday, May 2 in Ashland, Kentucky.

The Music Industry Conference (MIC) offers abundant opportunities for both aspiring and accomplished musical artists to learn about the music business. Attendees can gain valuable insider secrets on many aspects of the music industry including: performance, business management, recording, and songwriting, all from leading industry professionals. This is a great opportunity to learn all aspects of the music business," adds Ms. Hall.
All musical genres are welcome. Country, gospel, pop, and bluegrass music will be well represented by the MIC showcase performers, including Jean Bowman, Lindsay Caudill, Amber Nicole Church, Jeff Ellis (Guinness Clarkes Wine), Endless Highway, (Jamie Painter, Cameron Painter, Amy Trautwein), Douglas Imbrogno, Elizabeth McLaughlin, Michael Moore, Keith Murray, Stephen Salyers, Susan Scott, and Joey Wilcoxon.
All events will be at the Paramount Arts Center and Thunder Bay Studios in Ashland, Kentucky.
Special guest artist is Ricky Van Shelton, who will be performing at The Highway 23 Jamboree.
The MIC Conference ticket ($100) includes all events, including admission to the MIC Showcase on Friday, panel discussions and breakout sessions on Saturday, admission to the Highway 23 Jamboree Saturday evening, and a demo recording session on Sunday afternoon.
· The Showcase features 12 MIC participants chosen from auditions in March.
· Saturday morning features a panel discussion with music industry leaders and performers, with breakout sessions in the afternoon on general information, management, recording, and publishing. A songwriters in the round" session will also take place in the afternoon. There will be ample time for questions and answers.
· The Highway 23 Jamboree, headlining Ricky van Shelton and sponsored by WTCR, will cap the days activities. Admission is $15 or included with the price of the weekend conference ticket.
· Sunday afternoon, one of the Showcase participants will be recorded in a demonstration professional recording session at Thunder Bay Studios. Weekend participants will observe and have an opportunity to ask questions.
