Cornerstone Festival Survival Guide Enters 4th Year of Service

Since 2001, the C-Stone Surivival Guide has offered festival attendees crucial information for making their Cornerstone Festival experience a good one.

(PRWEB) April 28, 2004 -- The Cornerstone Festival has, for over twenty years, been the premier Christian music and arts festival in the United States. It is an enormous undertaking, with hundreds of shows, classes, workshops and activities scheduled to satisfy the tastes of 27,000 attendees. While the festival's staff and volunteers do an excellent job of managing the Bushnell, IL festival, it is also true that proper preparation can help attendees get the most out of the 4 day experience.

The challenges are unique: The festival takes place on 600 acres of relatively undeveloped land, and many attendees are novices at both camping and at festival attendance. Many potential attendees can be nervous about going to the festival, simply because they do not know what to expect. In 2000, Lainie Petersen, a festival attendee, began to notice that many people were visiting online discussion boards and asking for information from more experienced fest-goers. She began answering their questions, coming up with tips, and became known in some communities as a Cornerstone "expert". She began to see that there was a real need for quality information among potential and returning fest attendees. In response, she created the C-Stone Survival Website to meet this need. From tips on when to arrive for shows to packing lists, the Cornerstone Surival Guide helps to ensure that "Cornerstoners" enjoy their festival experience.

Recently updated with new information, the Cornerstone Survival Guide (located at http://faithstation.bizland.com) remains a premier resource for the Christian community. The website includes several interactive features, including a link exchange, a message board, a newsletter, and an interactive FAQ. In addition, Petersen welcomes contributions to the site from other fest-goers.
