Tony Stewart will salute America's Supportive Employers of National Guardsmen and Reservists when he drives the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) # 29 Marine Corps Reserve Car at the California Speedway Busch Series Race on May 1, 2004.
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) April 28, 2004 --- The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), will salute Americas Supportive Employers when Tony Stewart, NASCAR 2002 Winston Cup Champion, takes command of the ESGR #29 Marine Corps Reserve Car at the California Speedway Busch Series Race on May 1, 2004. Stewart is the second of a NASCAR Dream Team" of five drivers that were recruited by Richard Childress to Salute Americas Supportive Employers of National Guardsmen and Reservists for a five-race NASCAR Busch Series. Bobby Labonte was the first, when he drove the Army National Guard/Army Reserve Car at the Texas Motor Speedway on April 3rd.
Tony Stewart will honor all Marine Reservists, and their employers, when he takes the wheel of the ESGR #29 Marine Reserve Car," said Bob Hollingsworth, ESGR Executive Director. Future NASCAR Dream Team" driver Busch Series scheduled appearances are Ricky Craven who will drive the Navy Reserve Car at the Chicagoland Speedway on July 10th, Kerry Earnhardt will pilot the Air National Guard/Air Force Reserve Car at the Dover International Speedway on September 25th, and Kevin Harvick will conclude the five race Busch Series with the Coast Guard Car at the Homestead-Miami Speedway on November 2nd.
