Radnor, PA (PRWEB) April 28, 2004 -- IntelliSource, inc., is pleased to announce it is now certified as a Women Business Enterprise (WBE) by the nationally known Womens Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). IntelliSource, inc., formed in late 1994 by Carolyn Dougherty, is a woman-owned, Philadelphia metro-based company that focuses on the placement of Information Technology and Scientific/Clinical professionals. In early 2003, Ms. Dougherty and Claudia Ruiz-Shipe broadened the IntelliSource services by creating an IT consulting and technology solutions division called GotFlex. IntelliSource and GotFlex represent some of the area's premier private sector and non-profit organizations and are committed to developing client partnerships and meeting client needs through cost-effective solutions.

The WBENC is dedicated to enhancing opportunities for women's business enterprises in America's major business markets by eliminating market barriers, and facilitating corporate and supplier business opportunities for members.

The WBE certification is highly recognized and endorsed by over 500 companies and government agencies. According to the WBENC sponsored "Access to Market" study, "Large corporations with strong supplier diversity efforts in place say that doing business with women and minorities is a matter of good business practice. Forty-three percent (43%) of companies that rated themselves as having a good supplier diversity program say that their company's rationale for doing business with women- and minority-owned enterprises is that these firms offer competitive prices and quality products and services." Some of the companies that actively work with WBEs include J&J, Comcast, GSK, and AstraZeneca.
