Hit Songwriters Gather for Nashville SongWriters Festival

Mack Vickery with five decades of hit songwriting will be performing at the Nashville SongWriters Festival at the KOA Kampground near Opryland June 18-20th.

(PRWEB) April 29, 2004 --Mack Vickery with five decades of hit songwriting will be performing at the Nashville SongWriters Festival at the KOA Kampground near Opryland June 16-20th. Mack has written Hit Charted Singles for Jerry Lee Lewis, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Paycheck, Tanya Tucker, Mickey Gilley, Faron Young, Ernest Tub, Hank Williams Jr., Lefty Frizell, Rickey Van Shelton, Charlie Pride, George Strait, John Anderson, Willie Nelson, Vern Godsen, Johnny Cash, George Jones and Mark Chestnut and more.


Other hit songwriters that will be attending are Sissy Lynn, Crockett Frizzell, Waylon Patton, Chris & Camille Wallin, Tom Paden, Mark Sorrell, Brian Way, Greg Crowe, Tommy Barnes, AL Layman, Billy Ray Reynolds, Stan Webb, Pete and Pat Luboff & Tony Mullins to name a few.

Original songwriters will gather for several days of live music performances, Writers Retreat Song School, Workshops, Music Trade Show, Exhibits, Panel Discussions, Networking, Camping, Food and Fun. "This is a celebration of the songwriters that made Music City possible and a tribute to their craft." Writers from all over America, Canada and elsewhere will gather to share their talents. The Nashville SongWriters Festival is open to all forms of songwriting. Event activities include three days of songwriter performances and a three day Writers Retreat" for those wanting to hone their skills prior to the Big Weekend Festival. Everyone is encouraged to camp at the KOA Kampground on 2626 Music Valley Drive.

Songwriters, Music Publishers, the Recording Industry and other trade related professionals will be in attendance to get back to the basic roots of networking and exposure. The public is also invited to meet some of the hit songwriters of yesterday, today and tomorrow.
