Train Chartering supplies Train location for Elijah Wood Movie The Yank"
Train Chartering has supplied a train film location on the main line railway, providing real life authenticity for an upcoming Elijah Wood movie.
(PRWEB) April 30, 2004 -- Train Chartering -- www.trainchartering.com - has supplied a private charter train for real-life authenticity on the main line railway for an upcoming movie The Yank, with Elijah Wood, due to be released in 2005.
Elijah Wood plays a recently expelled Harvard student who travels to London and is introduced to the passion and excitement of English soccer culture.
Integral to the drama are scenes shot on the train apparently on the way to Manchester for a Manchester United game. The characters leave the train at Macclesfield.
The producers and location scouts came to Train Chartering, which has the skills and experience to organise filming on the UKs mainline railway.
Filming took place while the train was moving, and static at a station chosen to represent Macclesfield. Shoots also included scenes outside the station entrance.
UK main line railway filming, rare due to the planning complexities at which Train Chartering is expert, offers realism that no studio set-up can offer.
Although Train Chartering operated a train with a mix of standard and first class carriages in an appropriate livery for this production, a wide range of other rolling stock is available for film / movie locations. Examples include a Victorian saloon car, Pullman dining trains, premium class carriages, goods wagons, underground / metro trains and an Edwardian luxury train with sleeper accommodation.
Train Chartering (www.trainchartering.com) offers a pioneering coordinated approach to sourcing, theming and crewing of special trains as move / film locations and for corporate & exclusive private events. Transport Charter is a subsidiary providing multi-modal passenger transport solutions (www.transportcharter.com).
