We will also reveal the line-up of 100+ arts presenters who will be featured in ArtSFest 2004 - a multi-genre, multi-cultural celebration of the arts, May 13-31 throughout the Bay Area. Many of the arts organizations (representing dance, music, visual arts, film and more) will be in attendance and available for photos.
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 30, 2004 -- On Tuesday, May 4, the steps of San Francisco's City Hall will become the stage for an array of performers, musicians, dancers, artists and other creative professionals at the official launch of ArtSFest 2004, a multi-genre Celebration of the Arts May 13-31.
"May is officially proclaimed ArtSFest 2004 Month", said San Francisco Entertainment Commission President Terrance Alan. "The 'Entertainment Revolution in San Francisco' gets a jump start with ArtSFest 2004, and we are grateful to the wide array of performers and artists participating in this year's event."
ArtSFest, Inc. Executive Director Brad Nye will reveal the names of more than 100 organizations selected to participate in ArtSFest 2004.
"In San Francisco we are fortunate to have an enormous pool of artistic talent," said Nye. "We want everyone to dive in and celebrate creativity."
All the color, excitement and creativity of the Bay Area arts community will be on display at the announcement, where many of ArtSFest 2004's presenting arts organizations will be available for photographs by the press.
One of the goals of ArtSFest 2004 organizers is to launch a mainstream event in the Bay Area that will add to the cultural history of the region, just like Bay to Breakers, the San Francisco International Film Festival, Burning Man, the Black and White Ball and other San Francisco cultural institutions.
The mission of ArtSFest, Inc., producer of ArtSFest 2004, is to celebrate, market and advance the arts so that the entire local arts and entertainment community shines brightly, making the San Francisco Bay Area THE preferred arts and entertainment destination in the U.S. Similar to what Jazzfest has done for New Orleans, ArtSFest 2004 intends to do for San Francisco.
