Michelob Light Sponsors Showcase of Indie Films at San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival
An ongoing supporter of the arts and the Asian-American community, Michelob Light sponsored the American Indies portion of the 22nd San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF). The first ever Michelob Light Showcase included the screening of three films, Flavors," Tokyo Stories," and Take Out," on March 5 and 7.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (PRWEB) May 25, 2004 -- An ongoing supporter of the arts and the Asian-American community, Michelob Light sponsored the American Indies portion of the 22nd San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF). The first ever Michelob Light Showcase included the screening of three films, Flavors," Tokyo Stories," and Take Out," on March 5 and 7.

Flavors," featured in the Michelob Light Showcase, was also screened at opening night in San Jose on March 19. Flavors," by directors Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, is an ensemble comedy of young India Americans attempting to find love and romance while dealing with the complexities of Indian American Life.

The two additional films screened during the Michelob Light Showcase were seen by packed audiences. The sold out Tokyo Stores," by various directors, presented a collection of stories set in Japan. Take Out," by directors Shih-Ching Tsou and Sean Baker, painted a stark picture of life behind the counter of a Chinese takeout restaurant.
The San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF), presented since 1982 by NAATA (National Asian American Telecommunications Association), is the nations largest and most prestigious event dedicated to exhibiting Asian American and Asian works.
